Post Construction/Final Cleaning

When the construction project is complete, and before the new residents move in, a detailed cleaning of the home is required. This is the “post construction cleaning.” It can also be called an “in-depth” cleanup.

Once post construction cleaning is complete, the new home is ready for occupancy. Here’s a typical checklist for post-construction cleaning:

Kitchen

•Clean kitchen cabinets, backsplashes, countertops, shelves, and vanity cabinets

•Vacuum all cabinet tops

•Clean the exterior of kitchen appliances stovetop, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher

•Wipe additional appliances**

•Sweep/Vacuum the floor*

Bathroom

•Clean all mirrors and glass

•Clean all commodes and fixtures carefully

•Clean floors*

•Clean showers and tubs

General Cleaning

•Dust all surfaces, including window sills, and ceiling fans

•Sweep and mop the baseboards and floors

•Empty all trash cans

•SpotClean 1 the walls

•Wipe light switches and doorknobs

•Vacuum carpeted floors*

•Clean and wipe down surfaces and counters

•Clean hard floors*, staircases, and any carpeting/rug

 

Final Cleaning ranges between

.30-.55 per square foot
